ARTISAN is our wine dedicated to indigenous Romanian varieties specific to the area of Dealu Mare. They bare the fingerprint and personality of our oenologist Aurelia Visinescu. Their aim is not to be perfect or conform to a common standard but to be expressive of the land they come from. They are wines with identity, living wines.
Nomad
Nomad represents a modern style of wine, a new experience. A nomad knows how to uncover the little known stories and views the wine a living thing: a striking landscape, a stunning piece of music or the art of fine cuisine. For a nomad, the world is simply a puzzle where the road never ends and trips are a way of discovering more, this extends to the world of wine.
A single glass of wine can reveal more than a story; winemaking begins with the love of nature. When you nourish love, passion and respect for the vineyard, you are able to bring out the very best from the vines which will be then reflected within the glass.
At Sahateni, I rely on people who have dedicated their lives to working in the vineyards. Here we make wine for those like us, who skilfully do their job with rigor and passion, people who know their goals. We don’t fabricate a perfect, sweet story without foundation or claim to have the secret knowledge of wine.
Good wine depends on the grace of nature, but evolves thanks to the skill and passion of the viticulturists and winemakers. Wine is what we offer you at our best, every year, from our cellar.

ANIMA encapsulates winemaker Aurelia Visinescu’s sensitivity and passion translated into wine. It represents the evolvement of mind, body and soul in the discovery and celebration of a complex palate, full of surprises.
